Excitation of a giant resonance by neutral weak currents in neutrino scattering on 12C and 16O

Description
The cross section of excitation of the giant dipole resonance in the reactions v(anti v)+12C(16O) → v'(anti v')+12C(16O) is calculated. The Goldhaber-Taller generalized model is used. The dependence of the neutrino and antineutrino excitation cross section upon the Weinberg parameter sin2 THETAw is studied
