Antibacterial activity of Cu (II), Zn (II), Li cation containing tryptophan derivatives
- 1. Institute of Fine Organic Chemistry, Scientific Technological Center of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Yerevan (Armenia)
Description
It has been shown, that most L and DL-tryptophan derivatives have antibacterial properties both for Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus 209P, 1) and Gram-negative (Shigella flexneri 6858, Esherichia coli 0-55) microorganisms. At the same time lithium salts of salicylidene L and DL-tryptophan, salicylidene L-tryptophan, Cu (II) Salicylidene DL-tryptophan ethyl ester chelate and Zn (II) salicylidene L-tryptophan chelate were more active
