A ground-based solar farm on my territory. For a successful environmental, social and economic integration of projects

Description

This guide aims at promoting good practices, and at favouring a better social and environmental acceptability of projects of installation of a solar farm on a territory. The authors first outline the necessary change of the energy paradigm within a context of climate change and of shortage of resources, and then propose an overview of some technical elements (conversion of solar energy, typology of solar photovoltaic systems, relationship a ground based solar farm with electric power grid management, network management and electric power production). They discuss the positive and negative environmental impacts of hardware fabrication, of site selection, of works, of exploitation, and of dismantling and recycling. Different aspects of the setting-up of the project are then addressed. The next parts propose overviews of economic and social fallouts, of legal elements to take into account when undertaking a project, and of the necessary implication of the local community and of citizen
