The luminosity function of clusters of galaxies
Description
Observations by Dressler are used to derive integral luminosity functions for ten rich clusters. All luminosity functions are found to consist of a linear portion and a high-luminosity toe. The size of this toe does not appear to correlate with cluster BM type. A parameter Msub(F)(0), which has a dispersion of only 0.2 mag for the present data sample, is defined. (Auth.)
