Optical orientation of nuclei

  • 1. Gosudarstvennyj Komitet po Ispol'zovaniyu Atomnoj Ehnergii SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Atomnoj Ehnergii

Description

The theory is presented of optical orientation of atomic nuclei by means of lasers. The principle of the method is described and the conditions are discussed of the nuclear orientation production as are depolarization effects and the effect of Doppler broadening on optical orientation. (Z.J.)
