Inspecting device in nuclear reactor

Purpose: To improve the heat resistance, radiation resistance performance and maintenance property with an image guide. Constitution: An image guide in which a number of optical fibers are arranged and disposed instead of an industrial television camera is used in a tubular structure. An illumination light guide and a cooling guide are provided in this image guide, the illumination guide is composed by collecting, for example, quartz optical fibers in a handle type, and the cooling guide is composed by arranging, for example, several ten thousands of quartz optical fibers are arranged. The image guide collects an image at the image pickup unit at the end and transmits the image out of a nuclear reactor. When such an image guide is employed, the heat resistance, radiation resistance performance and maintenance property can be improved as compared with a conventional industrial television camera.
