ΔG/G determination from high pT hadron pairs

Description

COMPASS is the fixed target experiment at CERN SPS muon beam, where polarized 160 GeV muons are scattered off a polarized LiD target. The collected data provide the access to the polarized quark and gluon distributions. Events with hadrons pairs, where both hadrons require a high transverse momentum pT are probing the polarized gluon distribution via the photon-gluon-fusion process. In this contribution the actual status of ΔG/G analysis of the events in deep inelastic scattering region (Q2>1 GeV2/c2) data are presented. Special emphasis is put on the MC simulations using the LEPTO generator and the estimate of false asymmetries. (orig.)
