Determination of N/C and C12/C13 ratios in the atmospheres of carbon stars
Description
Rotational and vibrational temperatures and ratios of CN/C2 and C12/C13 have been determined for three carbon stars: BL Ori, BD+38grad955 and HD 182040. The abundances were derived by fitting the observational blends to the theoretical profiles corrected for instrumental broadening. The derived values of CN/C2 and C12/C13 are in contradiction with the equilibrium values of the CNO cycle. (Author)
