Hiroko Suzuki and chemistry in dark clouds

Scientific works and contributions by late Dr. Hiroko Suzuki are reviewed. She was one of the pioneers of theoretical astrochemistry. Especially she tried to combine the chemical evolution with the physical evolution of dark clouds. She was a center of Nobeyama Molecular line survey, and detected many new interstellar molecules in dark clouds. She has been the most active staff of Nobeyama Radio Observatory and made great contributions to the software system of NRO. She died on 22nd November, 1987, by a car accident
