Synthesis and structure of nitrato- and chlorfluoride compounds of tellurium(4)

Description

Monocrystals of K2TeF5Cl(1) and RbTeF4(NO3)(2) were prepared from aqueous solution. X-ray diffraction investigation into 1 and 2 was conducted. Lattice parameters: a=4.590 (1), b=-10.490(2), c=14.925(3)A; β=91.16(2) deg, Z=4, fed.gr. P2sub(1/n) (1); a=8.216(4), b=8.454(4), c=10.794(4)A, α=109.09(4), β=89.89(4), γ=111.18(4) deg, Z=4, fed.gr. P1(2). The 1 structure is constructed of tetragonal-bipyramidal [TeF5E]- complexes (E-unshared electron pair), K+ cations, Cl- anions. E-pair in [TeF5E]- complex is in trans-position with respect to axial F atom: Te-Fsub(ax) 1.91(2), Te-Fsub(eq) 1.96(3)-2.08(3)A, Fsub(ax)TeFsub(eq) 76.8(9)-78.6(11)deg. Cl atom interacts weakly with Te(Te... Cl 3.383(8)A). The 2 structure is constructed of isolated neutral trigonal-bipyramidal [TeF4E] complexes with E-pair in one of equatorial positions, Rb+ cations and NO3- anions. In [TeF4E] complexes Te-Fsub(ax) 1.95(1)-2.01(1), Te-Fsub(eq) 1.87(1)-1.95(2) A, Fsub(eq)Te Fsub(eq) 95.6(6)-101.2(8), Fsub(ax)TeFsub(ax) 154.1(5)-164.4(6)deg. [TeF4E]complexes and NO3-groups interact relatively weakly (Te...0.289(2)-3.28(2), Te...F 2.94(1); 3.04(1)A
