Study of inclusive and semi-inclusive transverse momentum distributions of charged hadrons in p-barp interactions at 32 GeV/c

Inclusive and semi-inclusive distributions in p2/sub T/ of all charged hadrons, π- mesons, and antiprotons from p-barp interactions at 32 GeV/c are studied and their parameters are determined. It is shown that the decrease of the mean transverse momentum p/sub T/ of π- mesons with the increase of multiplicity of charged particles n/sub c//sub h/ is related to the growth of the probability for production of particles with small p/sub T/. At the same time the production probability of particles with p/sub T/>1 GeV/c does not depend on n/sub c//sub h/. The shape of the p2/sub T/ distributions depends on the mechanism of production of hadrons with increased p/sub T/ and on the dynamics of their compensation. Specifically, the p2/sub T/ distribution of particles emitted in the perpendicular plane at angles less than 900 relative to the hadron with maximal p/sub T/ in the given event has the largest slope
