Λ(1405) production in the π-p→K0πΣ reaction

Description
We study the π-p → K-πΣ reaction where the Λ(1405) resonance is generated dynamically using a chiral unitary model. Recently, in this model, the existence of two resonances around the energy region 1400 MeV has been reported. Both the resonances have the quantum numbers I(JP) = 0(1/2-) and couple to the πΣ and K-bar N channels with different strengths. In the present reaction, it is found that there are two mechanisms which eventually filter each one of the resonances. Proper combination of the two mechanisms provides a good agreement with experimental data. (author)
