A hybrid relative/absolute risk model analysis of the DS86 bomb survivor data

Description
The Japanese bomb survivor data, with the latest dosimetry (DS86) and recently extended follow-up, is analysed using a hybrid relative/absolute risk model. The relative and absolute excess risks are transported to the current England and Wales population and a UK radiation workforce and a number of measures of risk (with associated confidence intervals) calculated. The effects of variation of period of expression of excess risks are also explored. Results are compared with those given by the RERF and UNSCEAR. (author)
