Solubility vortices of electron-acoustic and short-wave drift oscillations

Description

Solitary vortices of electron-acoustic and short-wave oscillations in hot ion plasma are theoretically investigated. Scalar non-linearities related to ion temperature inhomogeneity and electron longitudinal motion and Larichev-Reznik type vector non-linearity are considered as possible reasons leading to space localization of such oscillations. It is shown that scalar non-linearity can result in round solitons and the linear one - to dipole solitons. The existence of solitary vortices in plasma with aconic ion velocity distribution is demonstrated
