Some characteristics of toroidal electrostatic analyzer

Description
On the basis of simplified calculations, the trajectories and the possible deviations of particles in the electrostatic analyzer of the toroidal type are analyzed. The possibility of using such an analyzer in spectrometric modules for the study of spatial and angular particle distribution in cosmophysical studies, is considered. With the aim of unambiguous interpretation of such results the measures to decrease the effect of particle trajectory blurring are suggested. The practical results of decreasing this effect for one of analyzer designs developed, are given
