Photoproduction of rho0-mesons in H and Be

Description
The experiment on the study of rho0-meson production by 15-30 GeV traced γ-quanta is conducted at the two-targets installation 460mm - liquid hydrogen length and 20 mm beryllium length. Two processes have been studied simultaneously by the basic mode of the decay: γ+p→rho0+p, rho0→π +π- (1) γ+Be→rho0+Be, rhorho0→π+π- (2). Differential and total cross sections of rho0-meson photoproduction on beryllium are given. It is shown that at nuclei rho0-meson photoproduction a nucleon screening occurs which is due to meson rescattering in nucleus and depending on total cross section of interaction between rho0-mesons and σsub(rhoN) nucleons. The analysis of the results made possible to obtain total cross section of interaction between rho0-mesons and nucleons in the unexplored energy field
