Description

The authors report the assessment of prostatic positioning by cone beam computed tomography. Data have been collected on 29 patients who have been randomized in daily or weekly control, and submitted to different doses. Differences are discussed in terms of position biases, urinary toxicity, and rectal toxicity. It appears that the dose delivered by imagery in the case of daily cone beam computed tomography is not negligible. Image-guided radiotherapy allows the prostatic positioning to be optimized.
