Highlights: • SPECTRA-PKA processes nuclear reaction data on a per channel basis. • Displacements per atom (dpa) rates are calculated for each reaction channel. • Scattering reactions dominate fission damage, but less so in fusion. • (n, 2n) reactions can be as important for damage as scattering. • Transmuting reactions can also contribute non-negligibly to dpa rates.
