Spherical light metal based powder particles and process for producing same

Description

This patent describes a powdered material consisting essentially of spherical particles of a light metal based material, wherein the light metal is selected from the group consisting of magnesium and beryllium. The powdered material being essentially free of elongated particles having rounded ends and having a particle size less than about 50 micrometers, the powdered material directly solidified from plasma melted material
