Cascade test of removing Nd3+ and Am3+ from simulated high level liquid waste of nuclear power station
- 1. Tsinghua Univ., Beijing (China). Inst. of Nuclear Energy Technology
Description
Using 10 stages for extraction, 2 stages for scrubbing, the code test was proceeded on the miniature centrifugal contactors with 10 mm diameter using Nd3+ to simulate Am3+. The results showed that the decontamination factor (DF) of Nd3+ reached 5 x 105. The concentration profiles of Nd3+, Fe3+, H+, etc and their material balances were given. The radioactive tracing test of Am3+ was carried out based on the cold test. The DF of Am3+ was 1.26 x 106. The results of the cold and tracing test showed that the non-α waste requirement of high level liquid waste of nuclear power station could be met by TRPO process
