Thermal deformations and polymorphic transformation of La2-xSrxCuO4 (x = 0; 0.05)

Description
Using solid-phase synthesis, La2CuO4 (1) and La1.95Sr0.05CuO4 (2) are prepared from oxides at 980-1000 deg C. The polymorphous transformation temperature for (1) is 270±15 deg C and for (2) - 170±30 deg C. Polymorphous transformation is reversible and it belongs to second-kind transformations. Temperature dependences of parameters and elementary cell volume as well as thermal expansion factors (2) are calculated. 3 refs.; 1 fig.; 2 tabs
