This document defines the terms used in the field of tomography. This document contains not only terms specific to tomography, but also more general terms that apply across the board to imaging and radiography. The definitions for some of these designations represent a point of discussion with the aim of bringing the respective terms into a more specific context with computed tomography. This standard supersedes DIN EN 16016-1:2011-12. Compared to DIN EN 16016-1:2011-12, the following changes have been made: a) normative references updated; b) translation of terms and definitions adapted with respect to current technical terminology; c) editorial revision of the document.

Abstract (German)

Dieses Dokument legt die auf dem Gebiet der Tomographie verwendeten Begriffe fest. Dieses Dokument enthält nicht nur für die Tomographie spezifische Benennungen, sondern auch allgemeinere Benennungen, die übergreifend für die bildliche Darstellung und Durchstrahlung gelten. Die Definitionen für einige dieser Benennungen stellen einen Diskussionspunkt dar, mit dem Ziel, die jeweiligen Begriffe in einen spezifischeren Zusammenhang mit Computertomographie zu bringen. Diese Norm ersetzt DIN EN 16016-1:2011-12. Gegenüber DIN EN 16016-1:2011-12 wurden folgende Änderungen vorgenommen: a) Normative Verweisungen aktualisiert; b) Übersetzung der Begriffe und Definitionen bezüglich aktueller Fachterminologie angepasst; c) redaktionelle Überarbeitung des Dokumentes.
