Characteristics and prospecting direction of pulse type Kaolin in Jingdezhen -- a case of study in Ehu Kaolin deposit

Description
The geological characteristics and the pattern of enrichment of the vein-type kaolin deposits are summarized in Ehu town of Jingdezhen based on geological methods and the isotopic chronology analysis. During the late stage of the diagenesis of the biotite monzonite-granite batholith, the evolved and differentiated remanent acidic magma were filled in the fractures and fissures and created the granite porphyry dikes as the endogenous host rocks, and finally formed the residual-type sandy kaolin deposits which were confined to the weathering crust after long - term cycles of exogenic processes. Better exploration prospects are also expected in the NE and SW extensions around the periphery of the mining area and the paralleled veins to the south of Ehu kaolin deposit, which is able to provide resource reserves for the porcelain industry of Jingdezhen. It also enriches the understanding of the deposit characteristics and the major industrial types of the kaolin deposits throughout the history of Jingdezhen (authors)
