Minijets in the two-component dual parton model in hadronic and heavy ion collisions

Description
The authors use new fits to parton structure functions, including structure functions with Lipatov behaviour at small x-values and discuss the minijet component in the two-component Dual Parton Model with a supercritical Pomeron as demanded by the fits to cross section data. They find, that a consistent model can only be formulated with a pperpendicularthr cut-off increasing with energy. The implications for particle production in hadronic and heavy ion collisions are discussed
