Description
The photoproduction of heavy quarks is discussed with a strong emphasis on the charm data from E691. The fragmentation data into the various observed particles is presented, in particular into the newly observed L=1 D** resonances. The procedures for evaluating mc and the gluon structure function, G(x), from the slope and value of the total charm cross section, and from the PT2 and xF dependences are discussed.
