Field theories for cross sections and their classical solutions
Description
It is shown that inclusive and semi-inclusive cross sections can be calculated from an auxiliary field theory by expanding around classical solutions of certain nonvanishing quantum numbers. The physical significance of the conserved quantum numbers and of the classical solutions is discussed
