Quark and gluon jet differences at LEP

  • 1. European Organization for Nuclear Research, Geneva (Switzerland)

Description

Several recent analyses of jet properties are presented, in which gluon jets are isolated through the identification of heavy quark decays. Differences in the fragmentation functions, jet widths and particle multiplicities are observed for quark and gluon jets. Additional studies of the dependence of jet properties on the jet finding algorithm, resolution parameters and jet energies are described. (author)
