Description
The existence of a rotational band with the α + 12C(02+) cluster structure is demonstrated near the four-α threshold of 16O in agreement with experiment. A drastic reduction of the moment of the inertia of the 0+ state at 15.1 MeV suggests that it is superfluid with four α-particle condensation. The rotational excitation of the condensate in 16O is discussed. (author)
