Usefulness of technetium isotope angiocardiography in the follow-up of patients with previous myocardial infarction

Description
The authors used dynamic angiocardiography for the quantitative evaluation of left ventricular wall motion, which was calculated by means of a method employing a radial coordinate system with its center at the end-systolic and end-diastolic center of the mass. A previous study demonstrated this method to be the most accurate for evaluating the contribution of each left ventricular area to an effective contraction. A necessary preliminary step involves the assessment of end-systolic and end-diastolic outlines. As an exemplification, data are reported relating to 30 patients with angina of effort and/or at rest (22 with postinfarction angina, 8 without clincal, electrocardiogram (ECG), or enzymatic signs of myocardial infarction).
