Problems of spontaneous and radiation-induced tumor cell death, which are actual for radiobiology and morphology, have been considered. A study has been made on possible causes of tumor cell necrosis, dependence of necrosis on tumor localization, its size and prowth rate, mechanisms of necrosis development. Investigating resultys of radiation-induced apoptosis in tumor and untumor cells have been presented
