Description

The capabilities of neutron activation for trace elements geochemical investigation are demonstrated on the basis of long term determination and intercomparisons for the purpose of geochemical oceanic basalt investigations. We illustrate by a few examples the necessity of these capabilities for precise petrological and geodynamical modelizations. Hygromagmaphile trace elements fingerprints of mantle heterogeneities are emphasized. (author)
