Geometric manifestation of isotope effect and the nature of H-bond in[Et2O...H...OEt2]+ cation of (Et2O)2xHZnCl3 etherate

Description
A 2Et2OxDZnCl3 crystal is studied by the X-ray diffraction method. A zero value of the geometric isotope effect is found, which is indicative of a one-minimum character of an H-bond potential in the [Et2O...H(D)...OEt2]+ cation. Some peculia rity vibrational behaviour of the central H(D) atom is revealed
