Catalytic oxidation of methanol on orthovanadates of metal series
Description
The Fe, Cr, - Cu orthovanadates are shown to react mainly via a selective oxidation of methanol in formaldehyde whereas the Sb- and Co orthovanadates react through a complete oxidation of alcohol. The difference in the selectivity is associated with the different nature of oxygen- and methanol interaction with sample surfaces
