Effect of spray calcination conditions on Synroc-D crystalline phases

  • 1. E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., Savannah River Laboratory, Aiken, SC 29808

Description

Spray calcination conditions modified the crystalline phase composition formed during hot-pressing of Synroc-D. The final desired phases can be controlled by the choice of calciner temperature and atomizing gas. A subsequent stage of redox calcination should not be required prior to hot-pressing
