Effects of the local electron speed on the exchange-correlation phenomena
Description
The electron speed dependence of the exchange-correlation effects is analyzed through the approximation based on the mass operator of the many-body theory. Near the atomic nucleus the semi-classical approximation utilized to calculate the momentum of the electron fails. A correction to the model for solving the problem is proposed. (author)
