Natural radiation in China
Description
A brief summary is given of a national survey of natural radioactivity in 2x105 indoor and outdoor locations throughout all twenty-one Chinese provinces and five autonomous regions and in the major cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. The main results of the surveys are presented from which it can be deduced that the average annual effective dose equivalent from terrestrial gamma rays in China, weighted for population, is 710μSv.
