Description
This report addresses control quality issues for techniques of rotational radiotherapy. It reviews and explains the different machine-related and patient-related quality control procedures by distinguishing tomotherapy (description of the technique, mechanical controls, dosimetric controls, controls related to the TomoEDGE option, control of the imagery system, overview of recommended daily, monthly, quarterly, annual and after-failure controls), and Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) techniques (description of modulated arc-therapy, recommended mechanical, parameter synchronization, dosimetric, and daily controls). It also addresses pre-treatment controls: gamma index, 'logs' files, perspective of an optimization of pre-treatment controls
