Differential cross sections metastable He(23,1 S), Ar, Kr and Xe (n3 P2,0) atoms elastic scattering by Mg(1 S0)atoms
- 1. Institut Ehlektronnoj Fiziki, Natsional'noj Akademii Nauk Ukrainy, Uzhgorod (Ukraine)
Description
Using the crossed beams method, the differential cross sections (DCS) of elastic scattering of metastable Rg* (Rg = He,Ar,Kr and Xe) atoms by Mg atoms have been measured for the first time. It is found that the DCS for all partners posses nearly exponential behaviour. The structure at the intermediate scattering angles is attributed to the rainbow scattering
