Description

A fine resolution measurement ( approximately 1 keV) of the Isobaric Analog Resonance (IAR) in the 55Mn(p,n)55Fe reaction, at Esub(p)=1.54 MeV has been carried out. A detailed shape analysis of this IAR has been performed with the standard a) Breit-Wigner and b) Robson procedures. Proton partial width and the spectroscopic factor (SF) for the analog state in 56Fe have been extracted from the above analysis. A comparative study is made with the SF of the corresponding parent state in 55Mn obtained from 55Mn(d,p)56Mn reaction. The dependence of SF on the parameters used in both the analysis is brought out. The usefulness of the quantity ''Reduced Normalization'' and its relative sensitivity to parameter variation are discussed. (author)
