Description

It is now widely known among the scientist that chaos and fractal are two natural phenomena which are occurring in many branches of science. In this paper the author is presenting chaos and fractal in relation to the classical scattering, known as chaotic scattering. The study was done through the use of computer simulation for a highly simplified problem of a two-dimensional scattering of ray coming from the x = - (infinite) direction on a system consisting of three or more circular hard disks. The scattering turned out to be chaotic and with an indication of a fractal structure
