On solving directly the Griffin-Hill-Wheeler equation for scattering problems
Description
We investigate a method for solving the Griffin-Hill-Wheeler equation, in which the generator coordinate amplitudes are approximated by regular functions. The method is applied to elastic α-α scattering and the results are compared with those yields by other methods. Particular attention is paid to the calculation of physical wave functions free of spurious components. (auth)
