Project of initial beam slow extraction from the ITEP reconstructed accelerator
Description
To reduce magnetic field pulsations considered are the problems related with particle slow extraction using the nonlinear resonance Qsub(r)=9,33 out of the ITEP proton synchrotron. Two versions of particle extraction on resonances Qsub(r)=9,33 and Qsub(r)=9,67 for compensation of nonlinear effects and dependence of betatron oscillation frequency spread upon their amplitude, are suggested. Main characteristics of the accelerator, correcting circuits and elements of the system of slow extraction are presented for Qsub(r)=9.67. Using an electrostatic septum has been shown to permit to reduce the force of resonance disturbance and the value of orbit local distortion
