Description
The worry produced by the possibility of new countries acquiring nuclear weapons through the forbidden use of sensitive installations for the production of fissionable materials, had arisen proposals intended to restrict activities related to the full nuclear fuel cycle, even when these activities are allowed in the frame of rules in force for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. La preocupacion que genera la posibilidad de que nuevos paises adquieran armas nucleares y que a ello contribuya el uso de instalaciones sensibles para la produccion de material fisionable de modo no permitido por las normas internacionales de no proliferacion, ha llevado a que surjan propuestas tendientes a limitar las actividades relacionadas con el ciclo completo de combustible nuclear, aun cuando estas estan permitidas en el marco de las normas vigentes en la medida que sean desarrolladas con fines exclusivamente pacificos.
