Hydrogen peroxide decomposition and radiolysis in BWRs

Creators

Description

After describing the importance of the evaluation on chemical environment of reactor core in relation to hydrogen water chemistry and corrosion problems in BWR, it is pointed out that the data base on radiolysis of high temperature water is essential for this evaluation. Then recent experimental results are reviewed on G values for the primary products of high temperature water radiolysis and their kinetic and thermodynamic behavior. Finally, description is given to the kinetic data on the high temperature decomposition of hydrogen peroxide, one of the key products of the radiolysis. (author)
