One probe characteristics simulation

Description

The influence of the plasma probe shape and of the plasma drift velocity were studied by a theoretical model assuming Maxwell distribution, parabolical form of shielding potential, elastic electron collisions, and by direct experiments using probes of platinum wires. The current through the probe element is strongly influenced by both the element orientation and the drift velocity. The results are summarized by graphs. (D.Gy.)
