Solubility and diffusivity of hydrogen and deuterium in α-hafnium at high temperatures
- 1. Kyoto Univ., Uji (Japan). Inst. of Atomic Energy
Description
The solubility and diffusivity of hydrogen and deuterium in polycrystalline α-hafnium have been measured at temperatures of 873-1873 K. The ratios of the solubility and diffusivity of deuterium to those of hydrogen are explained assuming that hydrogen and deuterium in hafnium are anharmonic oscillators. The activation energy for the diffusion of hydrogen and deuterium is found to be 0.46±0.02 eV. (author)
