Theoretical elucidation of local modes in high-Tc YBaCuVO superconductors

Description
Discrete frequencies caused by extra scattering of impurity atoms in non-ideal solids have been studied by local perturbation theory which elucidates local modes appeared in Raman spectra in V-doped superconducting YBaCuO system. The authors attribute them to the replacement of copper atoms by lighter vanadium atoms, which provides a positive mass-defective coefficient
