Quantities and units in radiation dosimetry

Creators

  • 1. Univ. of Florida, Gainesville (USA). Dept. of Nuclear Engineering

Description

In view of radiation protection, radiation dose, absorbed dose, dose equivalent, radioactivity, and interrelations between them were discussed. Dose rate was expressed as a function of specific gamma constant. Internal obsorbed dose rate, the directly correlating factor with the somatic and genetic effect, was introduced as a mathematical model including equilibrium abosorbed dose constant and absorption rate.
