Carbon monoxide interaction with polycrystalline ruthenium powder
- 1. Universitet Druzhby Narodov, Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
Three forms of adsorption of carbon monoxide on ruthenium polycrystal powder have been revealed by the method of thermally programmed desorption. One of the forms is carbonylic, the second-molecular, which transforms into dissociative one with increase in the temperature. It is the dissociatiative form that is responsible for methanation in the course of CO hydrogenization. The influence of adsorbed hydrogen on CO adsorption and disproportionation has been ascertained. 5 refs.; 4 figs.; 2 tabs
