Description
Epitaxial thin films of multiferroic BiMnO3 were synthesized on SrTiO3 substrates. Long range ordering of the Mn3+eg orbitals was probed with Mn K-edge resonant X-ray scattering. Magnetic properties of the thin films were also investigated. The inter-relation between the orbital, magnetic, and ferroelectric degrees of freedom are shown
